Getting started with the blacklist

The blacklist helps you reliably exclude specific email addresses from mailings. Any address listed on the blacklist is automatically taken into account during the sending process and will not be contacted again.

The blacklist helps you reliably exclude specific email addresses from mailings. Any address listed on the blacklist is automatically taken into account during the sending process and will not be contacted again. This is particularly important when recipients have unsubscribed, addresses are no longer reachable, or you intentionally wish to exclude specific contacts from mailing campaigns.

What the blacklist is used for

The blacklist stores email addresses that are blocked from receiving mailings. An address may appear on the blacklist for various reasons. Some entries are added manually, while others are generated via bounce notifications or an opt-out link.

The "Entry Method" column indicates how an entry was created - for example, "Manual", "Bounced", or "OptOut Link". Additionally, the "Note" column may display further details, such as whether an address was imported from a specific mailing job or a Smart List.

Searching and filtering the blacklist

The search function allows you to quickly locate specific email addresses. This is useful if you want to check whether a particular address is already blocked. You can also further refine the list using the filter options.

For larger blacklists, you can specify how many rows are displayed per page, helping you maintain a clear overview even with a high number of entries.

Customizing the table

The blacklist is displayed as a table. It shows details such as the email address, creation date, the user who created the entry, the client, the mailing group, the entry method, and any notes.

You can use the "Customize Columns" feature to control which information is visible in the table, allowing you to tailor the view to your specific workflow.

Adding a new email address

You can manually add an address to the blacklist using the "Add Email Address" function. This ensures the address is excluded from future mailings—a useful step when you already know that a particular address should no longer be contacted. Edit multiple entries

You can edit selected entries collectively via "More actions". To do this, first select the desired rows in the table and then perform the appropriate action.

Summary

The blacklist ensures that blocked email addresses are automatically excluded during dispatch. You can search for and filter addresses, add them manually, and customize the table view. This allows you to keep track of which recipients should no longer be contacted and the reason why an entry was created.
