myconvento is designed so that you can quickly orient yourself and switch to other areas from anywhere in the application. After logging in, you arrive at the dashboard first. It serves as the central entry point to myconvento, displaying key information, quick-access links, and notifications relevant to your daily work. The dashboard itself is described in greater detail in a separate help article.
This article focuses on the general layout of the interface, how to switch between modules, and the functions available in the top navigation bar.
The dashboard as a starting point
The dashboard is the area you see immediately after logging in. From there, you can switch to various myconvento modules, view current notifications, or proceed directly to frequently used functions. The dashboard’s appearance may vary depending on the configuration, the scope of services included in your plan, and your user permissions. Some users may see only a few key areas, while others have access to numerous modules and additional information.
It is important to note that the dashboard is not the only way to navigate within myconvento; you can also access many areas via the app launcher or direct menus. Nevertheless, the dashboard remains a useful starting point whenever you need to reorient yourself or quickly switch to a different task area.
Accessing modules via the app launcher
The app launcher is located in the top-left corner of the interface. It functions much like a central module selector, giving you access to myconvento’s key work areas. The specific modules displayed there depend on the functions enabled for your account and the permissions assigned to your user profile.
Typical modules include "Dashboard," "My Data," "pressbase Classic," "Media Intelligence," "AI-Publisher," "Smart Lists," "Media Monitoring," "Clip Manager," "Storydriver," "Distribution," "Events," "Newsroom," "Mediacenter," and "Reports."
In some environments, additional functions may be visible, or specific modules might be hidden.
When you select a module, myconvento opens the corresponding workspace. Some modules start with an overview, while others lead directly to a search, list, or selection page. The currently open module is usually highlighted in the interface, making it easier to see which area you are currently in.

Breadcrumbs for orientation
Breadcrumb navigation is a key element of the user interface. It shows your current path within the application. This allows you to see not only which module is open but also the specific sub-area, view, or search/research task you are currently working on.
An example is "My Data > People > New Search." This tells you that you are in the "My Data" module, working in the "People" area, and currently have the "New Search" view open. This orientation is particularly helpful for complex modules, as many areas contain multiple levels, lists, detail views, or editing pages.
Breadcrumbs also help you better understand the structure of myconvento. If you frequently switch between similar functions, you can quickly identify whether you are currently working in a search, a detail view, an administration area, or a specific editing dialog.

The top navigation bar
The top navigation bar remains visible in many areas of myconvento and provides access to global functions. These functions are not limited to the currently open area but support your work across different modules.
One such feature is the quick search. It allows you to search across various modules. Depending on your configuration and permissions, you can quickly find content, contacts, data records, or other information without having to manually switch to the specific module first. The quick search is particularly useful when you know what you are looking for but aren't immediately sure which module contains the desired content.
You will also find the "Service and Support" section in the top navigation bar. This gives you access to various support options—such as the support chat, a messaging function for support, a callback request, online help, or the knowledge base. This allows you to request assistance directly from within the application without having to completely leave your current task.

Client Selection
If client management is enabled, a client selection option may also appear in the top navigation bar. You can use this to specify which clients or data areas should currently be included.
This is particularly important when multiple companies, clients, departments, or separate datasets managed within a shared myconvento environment. The client selection feature allows you to control whether you work without filters or display data for a specific client only.
If you do not see this option, it does not necessarily mean something is missing. The feature is only available if client management has been enabled and your user account has the appropriate permissions.
Mailbox, user profile, and status
You will also find other personal functions in the top bar. These include, for example, the mailbox, where you can access internal messages or system notifications. There is also a user menu containing your profile and personal settings.
Depending on your permissions, you can manage personal data, settings, or security features via the user profile. This area may also store status information or availability options. Changing your status signals to other users whether you are available, on a break, on a call, or otherwise occupied.
Recurring operational patterns
Many areas of myconvento follow similar operational patterns, so you do not have to re-orient yourself completely in every module. You will often find a search function, filters, or an action bar at the top. Below this, there are lists, tables, cards, or detailed information. Actions such as "New," "Edit," "Search," "Save," "Delete," or "Export" are usually located near the relevant content.
In search areas, you can enter criteria and then display the matching records. In lists, you can review, sort, or filter results, or open individual entries. Detail views provide information on a specific record and allow you to make changes, depending on your permissions.
Staying organized
Three key points of reference help with daily work. The app launcher allows you to quickly navigate to other modules. The breadcrumb trail shows you where you are within the application. The top navigation bar provides key global functions such as quick search, support, client selection, the mailbox, and your user profile.
Once you are familiar with these elements, you can navigate confidently even within extensive areas of myconvento. You do not need to memorize every menu item; instead, you can follow the structure step by step: first select the appropriate module, then check your current path via the breadcrumb trail, and finally proceed with the functions in the workspace.
