Upload your own profile picture

You can upload a custom profile picture in the My Profile section. This image will be displayed wherever your user profile appears, such as in personal areas or features where other users can see your contact details.

To do this, open the My Profile section and select the option to edit your profile picture. A dialogue box titled Profile Picture will appear.

Selecting a file or uploading via drag-and-drop

In the dialogue box, you can upload an image file either by clicking Select File or by dragging it directly into the selection area. Drag-and-drop involves using your mouse to drag the file from your file system into the highlighted upload area and then releasing it.

Allowed image formats are JPG, PNG, and GIF. The maximum file size is 8 MB.

Deleting an existing profile picture

If a profile picture is already set, you can remove it using the Delete button. Once deleted, your custom profile picture will no longer be displayed, and a default image will appear instead.

Tips for a good profile picture

Try to use a clear, easily recognisable image. Cropping to a square or nearly square shape works particularly well, as profile pictures are often displayed in a round or compact format.

Also, ensure the image isn't unnecessarily large. Although files up to 8 MB are permitted, a smaller, appropriately cropped image will load faster.

Summary

You can upload a custom profile picture directly in the My Profile section. You can either select a file or drag and drop it into the upload area. Supported formats are JPG, PNG, and GIF, with a maximum file size of 8 MB. Existing profile pictures can be removed using the Delete option.
